Chandigarh, March 3 -- In a massive state-wide operation marking the 42nd day of the 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign, the Punjab Police conducted 471 coordinated raids on Tuesday, arresting 148 persons and recovering two illegal weapons.

These operations targeted specifically mapped locations linked to associates of various organized crime syndicates. The crackdown resulted in the apprehension of 148 individuals and the recovery of two illegal weapons, further tightening the noose around gangster networks across the state.

The initiative, which aims to transform Punjab into a gangster-free state, was officially launched by Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on January 20.
