Chandigarh, March 30 -- In a massive state-wide operation under the 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign, the Punjab Police on Monday executed 455 coordinated raids at various identified locations linked to gangster associates.
Marking the 69th day of this decisive initiative launched under the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the crackdown resulted in the arrest of 162 individuals. During these operations, police teams successfully recovered one weapon, bringing the total number of arrests since the campaign's inception on January 20, 2026, to an impressive 17,836.
