Chandigarh, Aug. 16 -- In a continued push to eradicate drug abuse in Punjab, the state police conducted raids at 301 locations across all 28 districts on the 168th day of the "War Against Drugs" campaign, launched under the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 38 drug traffickers and the registration of 28 FIRs, bringing the total number of arrests in the campaign to 25,909 over the past 168 days.
During the raids, authorities seized 620 grams of heroin and 1,612 narcotic tablets/capsules from the apprehended suspects. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, with over 900 personnel and more than 100 teams, led by 70 gazette...
