Chandigarh, Sept. 24 -- Punjab Police have recovered 6 kg of heroin and arrested one Pakistan-linked drug-trafficker in the Attari sub-division of Amritsar district, an official said today.
Speaking to the media, DSP (Rural) Lakhwinder Singh Kaler revealed that acting on a tip-off, personnel from the Gharinda police station, intercepted a youth on a motorcycle heading toward the city with a consignment of drugs.
Led by SHO Gharinda and SI Rajvir Singh, the police team set up a special checkpoint, apprehended the suspect, and recovered 6 kg of heroin from his bag.
