Chandigarh, April 30 -- A group of 15 Indian nationals, including 11 residents of Punjab, landed at the Delhi airport on Thursday after being deported from Australia for violating immigration norms. Following their arrival, the Punjab government initiated measures to ensure their smooth transit back to their home districts.
To facilitate the journey of 11 Punjabis, including a woman, the state administration dispatched a dedicated convoy comprising a tempo traveller and several cars to Delhi. Officials stated that once the airport authorities conclude the mandatory verification process, the individuals will be escorted to Patiala under the supervision of state teams.
