Chandigarh, Sept. 20 -- Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management Minister Harpreet Singh Mundian announced on Friday that active relief camps have decreased to 35 as of now as more people are going home now.
The camps now house a total of 894 individuals.
This decline signals that many families are beginning to return to their residences as conditions stabilize in the inundated areas. Minister Mundian highlighted the gradual restoration of normalcy across flood-ravaged districts, crediting coordinated evacuation and support operations.
