Chandigarh, Feb. 21 -- Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema today laid the foundation stone for a new girls' hostel at Mata Sundri University Girls College in Mansa, marking a significant step in the state government's efforts to enhance higher education infrastructure.

The project, estimated to cost approximately Rs 10 crore, is part of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's commitment to ensuring safe and quality educational facilities for female students from across the state. The Minister announced that the 122-bed facility is expected to be completed within the next six months.
