Chandigarh, April 13 -- Punjab Police said on Monday they have made a breakthrough in the recent grenade attack on the Bhindi Saidan police station with the arrest of six suspects.
The police said the successful operation was based on intelligence inputs by Amritsar rural and Faridkot district police. Security forces recovered two pistols and several pieces of incriminating evidence, effectively dismantling a module backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the module was operating under the direct command of a foreign-based handler linked to the ISI. This handler was providing tactical instructions and logistical support from abroad to execute terror activities across the state.
