Chandigarh, Dec. 2 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally began his Japan visit on Monday by paying floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at the Gandhi Park in Tokyo.
Mann is on a 10-day tour aimed at attracting fresh investment and strengthening industrial partnerships for Punjab.
After the tribute ceremony, India's Ambassador to Japan, Nagma M. Malik, welcomed the Chief Minister. Senior officials from Punjab, including the Chief Secretary, were also present.
Mann is scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with leading Japanese companies and financial institutions during the visit.
