Chandigarh, Sept. 23 -- The Punjab government today launched the registration process for its ambitious Health Card scheme, aimed at providing free medical treatment of up to Rs. 10 lakh annually to residents.
Registration camps have been set up in Tarn Taran and Barnala, where residents can enroll by presenting their Aadhaar card, voter ID, and a passport-sized photograph.
The registration process, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes per card, faced minor setbacks due to technical glitches, causing some applicants to return disappointed.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured that the registration drive will be completed within 10-15 days, after which the scheme will be rolled out across the state.
