Pune, April 2 -- Two alarming incidents of sexual harassment and molestation of minor girls have come to light in Pune's state-run buses. The incidents occurred in the Sahakarnagar and Sinhgad Road areas here recently.
In both cases, the bus conductors of the PMPML (Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal) buses allegedly asked the minor girls for their mobile numbers. When the girls refused, the conductors touched them inappropriately and molested them. Police have registered cases against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO Act.
