Pune, Oct. 28 -- Pune Police have formally written to the British High Commission in India, requesting the arrest and extradition of notorious gangster Nilesh Ghaywal, who fled to London using a fake passport. The police public relations office expressed confidence that the British authorities will extend full cooperation in the matter.

Ghaywal is wanted in several serious criminal cases, including those registered under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) following the Kothrud firing incident.
