Pune, Aug. 4 -- Pune Police clarified today that no misconduct was committed by their personnel in connection with allegations made by three women activists regarding the handling of a married woman from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).
They stated that no criminal case will be registered against the police officials involved.
According to the complaint filed by the activists, they were assisting a married woman who had allegedly fled to Pune to escape harassment from her husband.
The activists claimed that a retired police officer related to the woman's in-laws used his influence to involve the Kothrud police, who then physically assaulted them, used casteist slurs, and harassed them.
