Pune, Jan. 25 -- The long-standing problem of inadequate lighting at the historic Mahatma Phule Mandai, one of Pune's busiest central marketplaces, has been resolved.
Following an inspection by newly-elected corporator Raghavendra "Bappu" Mankar, new electrical lights have been installed across the market, bringing much-needed relief to traders and citizens, said a release today.
Mahatma Phule Mandai, which boasts a rich legacy of 135 years, is among Pune's most important commercial hubs.
