PSB engages with SHGs in Chennai to promote financial inclusion, Women empowerment

Chennai, Feb. 6 -- Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) organised a Self Help Group (SHG) interactionprogramme in Chennai aimed at strengthening engagement with women-led grassroots enterprisesand understanding the on-ground experiences of SHG members.

The programme was inaugurated by Swarup Kumar Saha, Managing Director and Chief ExecutiveOfficer, PSB.

Around 100 SHG members from across the Chennai Zone participated, sharing their experiences,challenges, and expectations related to credit access, loan processing, and grievance redressal.

Swarup Kumar Saha highlighted the union Government's initiatives for women empowerment andentrepreneurship, and emphasised the importance of direct interactions in shaping responsivebanking solutions.
