Solan, March 22 -- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that providing pure drinking water and irrigation facilities to every farm in the state was on the government's priority, and the Jal Shakti Department is continuously working to achieve the target.
Mukesh Agnihotri was addressing the state-level Jal Mahotsav organized on the occasion of World Water Day in Baddi in the Doon Assembly Constituency of Solan District.
He announced a grant of Rs 2 crore each to the Doon and Nalagarh Assembly Constituencies for the installation and repair of various tubewells. Rs one crore each will be provided by the Jal Shakti Department and Rs 1 crore each by the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority.
