Jammu, March 31 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Tuesday that the proposed Metrolite project will currently run only between Bantalab and Bari Brahmana in Jammu, covering 22 stations.
In a written reply to the started question raised by the MLA Mohan Lal that whether the feasibility for inclusion of Akhnoor town and Akhnoor -Jammu corridor in the proposed Metrolite network is examined in view of the rapid urbanization and increasing traffic load daily commuter flow an strategic importance of Akhnoor, the Chief Minister said, "the current proposal is confined to the Jammu urban corridors Bantalab to Bari Brahmana covering with 22 stations.
