Nalagarh, Jan. 13 -- Security agencies have been placed on high alert after a pro-Khalistan outfit claimed responsibility for the explosion that occurred at the Nalagarh Police Station premises in Himachal Pradesh on January 1.

A press note purportedly issued by Babbar Khalsa International along with the Punjab Sovereignty Alliance, surfaced on social media, claiming that a detonator device was used in the attack.

The statement described the incident as an assault on the police establishment. Officials, however, said the authenticity of the claim is being verified and cautioned against drawing conclusions at this stage.
