Bengaluru, Jan. 31 -- A formal complaint has been lodged against Priyank Kharge, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, and VB G Ram G, the department's Chief Secretary for allegedly issuing a misleading government advertisement using public funds.
The complaint, submitted by CT Manjunath, spokesperson for the BJP, Mandya, alleges that the advertisement released to newspapers criticised a Central government scheme and included a caricature of Mahatma Gandhi. Manjunath described the use of the caricature as derogatory and claimed the advertisement was politically biased, misusing taxpayers' money to spread propaganda.
