Shimla, Jan. 15 -- Police in the Sanjauli area have arrested a private bank employee after recovering Chitta during a routine patrol, highlighting the growing concern over drug abuse among youth in the state.
Confirming the arrest, Senior Superintendent of Police, Shimla, Sanjeev Gandhi said that the police are examining every aspect of the case and would take strict action against those involved in drug trafficking.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.
