London, Feb. 9 -- Prince William and Princess Catherine have said they are "deeply concerned" by the latest disclosures emerging from U.S. Department of Justice files connected to Jeffrey Epstein.

In a statement circulated to the media, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said: "I can confirm the Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims."The 20-word missive is the first significant comment the Prince and Princess of Wales have made on the Epstein story, which is a family matter for the couple, given that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (William's uncle) was heavily entangled with the child sex offender.
