Bhubaneswar, March 24 -- President Droupadi Murmu on Monday urged tribals to be aware of welfare schemes and avail themselves of the benefits provided by these schemes.

She stated that government schemes can be successful only with people's cooperation and participation.

Murmu made these remarks at a gathering in Kaliapalli, located in Odisha's Nayagarh district, where she graced the foundation day ceremony of the Bharatiya Biswabasu Shabar Samaj.

The President emphasized that a nature-friendly lifestyle is a fundamental aspect of Indian culture and an integral part of tribal life. Tribal communities worship forests, trees, and other elements of nature as deities.
