Chandrapur, April 6 -- Prehistoric archaeological sites at Bhatala and Movad in Warora taluka of Chandrapur district are facing a serious threat due to unchecked mining activities, raising concerns among experts and authorities alike.

Taking note of the situation, a special committee appointed by the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court recently conducted an on-site inspection to assess the extent of damage.
