Hoshiarpur, March 26 -- Senior BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab for failing to fulfill its pre-election promise of providing Rs 1100 per month as financial assistance to women.

Khanna stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had made grand promises before coming to power but has failed to deliver, especially on commitments made to women.

He said that even after three years, the government has not implemented this scheme, leaving women in Punjab feeling deceived.
