Thiruvananthapuram, March 6 -- Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday alleged that the Kerala Information and Public Relations Department (PRD) was functioning like an extension of the CPI(M) headquarters, accusing the government of misusing public funds for political propaganda.
Talking to media persons here, Chennithala said the PRD was engaging in open political activity in a manner never witnessed before and had effectively become a propaganda arm of the CPI(M). Public tax money, he alleged, was being wasted to defend and whitewash the government.
