Chennai, Sept. 1 -- R Praggnanandhaa, the current leader of FIDE Circuit,and World Champion D.Gukesh in the Men's and Koneru Humpy and R Vaishaliwill lead India's charge in the FIDE Grand Swiss Chess tournament to be heldin Uzbekistan from September three to 15.
The Grand Swiss tournament will take place at the Silk Road EXPO - a grandvenue with outstanding playing and resting facilities and catering, where the 2023World Rapid and Blitz tournaments took place, the World Chess body, FIDE saidtoday.
This is a crucial qualifying tournament for the World Championship cycle, with thetop two finishers in both the Open and Women's sections earning places in the2026 Candidates.
