Patna, March 13 -- Bihar Energy department has initiated a major project to strengthen the power infrastructure under which electricity networks across almost all parts of the city are being upgraded at a cost of Rs 328 crore to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state capital Patna ahead of the summer season.

Patna Electric Supply Undertaking (PESU) official sources said here today that extensive underground cabling work is being carried out across the city. Once completed, the project is expected to significantly reduce issues such as power theft, short circuits, and frequent breakdowns during rains.
