Puducherry, March 18 -- With the political parties, especially the DMK and its ally Congress of the INDI alliance, deciding to file their nomination papers first and then go for seat sharing talks, candidates of both the parties are among several nomination papers filed on Wednesday, the third day for filing of papers for the April 9 assembly elections in the union Territory.

After none turned up to filed the papers on the first two days, several candidates, including Independents filed their papers, apart from the candidates of the DMK and the Congress, who would withdraw them later after the seat sharing pact was inked.
