Puducherry, March 30 -- The Puducherry legislative assembly on Monday passed a vote-on-account for Rs 2042 crore by a voice vote.
Earlier, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, holding the finance portfolio, presented the vote-on-account in the house. The amount has to be utilized for the first three months (April,May and June) of the next financial year 2020-21.
Main Opposition N R Congress members was not present in the house.
N R Congress President N Rangaswamy on Sunday stated that the party members will not attend the session in the prevailing extra-ordinary situation in the wake of Coronavirus (COVID 19) threat.
