New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Saturday said the recent hike in Namma Metro fares was taken without consulting the state government, asserting that the decision was made under the authority of a Centre-led mechanism.
"They didn't consult us. The Central Government Secretary, who serves as the chairman, has taken this decision," Shivakumar said.
Asserting that he plans to review its financial structure, he said, "I do not want to cause any trouble for the public and I plan to discuss the matter further once I return to Bengaluru.
