Ranchi, Sept. 7 -- Acting on a tip-off, police today raided the Om Girls Hostel located in the Lalpur police station area of Ranchi, suspecting it of running sex racket.
10 girls were taken into protective custody and are currently being questioned.
According to police sources, the network was allegedly being operated through mobile phones, with transactions and arrangements made digitally. Investigators are now examining mobile data and technical evidence to establish the scale of operations and identify those involved.
