Lucknow, Oct. 21 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to the brave martyrs of the state police at the Police Memorial Day ceremony held at the Reserve Police Lines.
He said that the sacrifice of the martyrs is an invaluable asset to the state and the country, which one can never forget. Their memories give everybody an immortal message of dedication, discipline and public service.
He said the state police has performed exemplary work in crime control, law and order strengthening, and women's safety under extremely challenging circumstances.
The CM said that a budget of Rs 4,061.87 crore has been approved for the police department for the financial year 2025-26, which is 7 per cent more than the previous year.
