Patna, Aug. 11 -- Ahead of Independence Day, Chehallum and Krishna Janmashtami festivals, Bihar Police has been put on high alert across the state.

Additional Director General (Law and Order) Pankaj Darad said here today that police Headquarters issued high-alert orders to all districts, activated the intelligence network, and set up round-the-clock monitoring through control rooms to track any suspicious activity.

He said that the officials have been directed to respond immediately to any attempt to disrupt law and order.
