Lucknow, Feb. 14 -- The Uttar Pradesh Police has launched a crackdown on elements attempting to defame the grand religious and cultural gathering of Sanatan Dharma, Maha Kumbh, by spreading fake videos and misleading news on social media.

On the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the police are monitoring social media platforms round the clock and have so far taken legal action against 54 social media accounts involved in spreading rumours through false and misleading posts.
