Moscow, July 31 -- The Shanghai police announced on Thursday the detention of six individuals for spreading fake videos about the aftermath of Typhoon Co-May.
On Wednesday, the powerful tropical storm Co-May hit Shanghai, bringing strong winds and heavy rains. Some areas of the city experienced gusts exceeding 24.5 meters (80 feet) per second. About 283,000 people were evacuated from coastal and low-lying areas, according to the Shanghai police. There were no reports of casualties.
