Jammu, Feb. 27 -- In a major breakthrough, Jammu and Kashmir has successfully solved the J&K Bank Dachhan branch theft case, arrested two accused persons, and recovered the stolen amount from them.
SSP Kishtwar Javaid Iqbal Mir stated that on February 3, 2025, a complaint was received from the Branch Manager, J&K Bank Suid, Dachhan, reporting a theft amounting to Rs 19,51,600.
Acting swiftly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Dachhan, and an investigation was initiated.
On this, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted under the supervision of ASP (OPS) Kishtwar Nisar Khoja and led by DySP PC Dachhan Sumit Bhagat, SHO PS Dachhan Insp. Harjeet Singh, and other police personnel.
