Prayagraj, Feb. 2 -- A 26-year-old police constable posted at Naini Central Jail died by suicide, officials said on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Prithviraj Chauhan, who was serving as a jail warder since 2021.
According to jail sources, Prithviraj was engaged and was scheduled to be married soon. He had reportedly spoken to his fiancee shortly before his death on Sunday night. He was originally a resident of Ummanpur village in Mohammadabad Gohna, Mau district, and was living in a rented house in Prayagpuram Colony near the jail.
