New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit West Bengal and Assam on January 17 and 18 to inaugurate and lay the foundation for several significant infrastructure and cultural projects aimed at boosting regional connectivity, economic development, and cultural heritage, an official government release said.

On January 17, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Malda, West Bengal, where at approximately 12:45 PM he will flag off India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train operating between Howrah and Guwahati (Kamakhya) at Malda Town Railway Station.
