Thrissur, March 28 -- As campaigning for the April 9 Assembly elections gathers momentum in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a public rally and hold a roadshow on Sunday.
The event marks a key moment in the Bharatiya Janata Party's efforts to make inroads in the state, where it is seeking to open its account in the state.
Modi will first address a rally in Palakkad before travelling to Thrissur to participate in a two-kilometre roadshow at Swaraj Round in the city centre.
National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates, including Padmaja Venugopal, who recently joined the BJP from the Congress, are expected to accompany him.
