New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he will participate in the Bagurumba Dwhou 2026 programme in Guwahati on Saturday, highlighting the Centre's commitment to promoting Bodo culture and heritage.

In a post on social media channel X, Modi said he would attend the event on Saturday evening, describing Bagurumba Dwhou as a celebration of the rich and vibrant Bodo cultural tradition.

The Prime Minister underlined that the festival reflects the cultural pride and artistic expression of the Bodo community.

He also said that the NDA governments at the Centre and in Assam are working extensively to realise the vision of Bodofa Upendranath Brahma, the iconic Bodo leader and social reformer.
