New Delhi, March 17 -- The Congress on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks about international organizations during a podcast with Lex Fridman, alleging that he was using "President Donald Trump's language" merely to "keep him in good humour".
On his social media handle X, party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said, "Multilateralism needs reforms but does not deserve wholesale condemnation of the type President Trump and Prime Minister Modi are indulging in".
It may be mentioned that during an interaction with Lex Fridman on Sunday, Modi had highlighted the irrelevance of international organisations like the UN "due to a lack of reforms and the disregard for international laws".
