Chandigarh, Jan. 30 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Punjab has been rescheduled to Monday, February 2, following conflicting reports from state BJP leadership regarding the official date.
Confirmation about the new date was provided by BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who arrived in Chandigarh on Friday to oversee the final arrangements.
Sirsa said the Prime Minister's visit carries significant spiritual importance, as he is slated to pay obeisance at Dera Ballan in Jalandhar ahead of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. During the visit, the Prime Minister will seek the blessings of Sant Niranjan Dass, the head of the Dera.
