Kolkata, March 5 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now likely to address a public rally at Kolkata's Brigade Parade Ground on March 14, a day earlier than the previously scheduled date of March 15, according to leaders of the West Bengal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Senior state BJP leaders said the revised schedule has been confirmed internally within the party.
As per the tentative programme, the Prime Minister is expected to arrive in Kolkata on the night of March 13, address the rally the following day, and return to New Delhi later the same evening.
The proposed rally at the Brigade Parade Ground is expected to formally kick off the BJP's high-intensity campaign for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.
