New Delhi, June 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today embarked on a three-nation tour that will take him to Canada where he will attend the G7 Summit, to Cyprus and Croatia.
In a departure statement, the PM said that on June 15-16, he will visit the Republic of Cyprus at the invitation of President Nikos Christodoulides.
"Cyprus is a close friend and an important partner in the Mediterranean region and the EU."
He said the visit would provide an opportunity to build upon the historical bonds and expand the bilateral ties in the areas of trade, investment, security, technology and promote people-to-people exchanges.
