New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today left for Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to assess the situation in the wake of recent floods and landslides that have caused widespread damage across both States.

The Prime Minister's visit comes shortly after he cast his vote in the Vice-Presidential election earlier in the day.

Taking to social media platform X, Modi wrote, "Leaving for Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to review the situation in the wake of floods and landslides.
