Patna, Jan. 13 -- BJP today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deeply concerned over the condition of Makhana farmers in Bihar and is taking all required steps in a bid to improve their lot.
Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi, addressing a function organised by his party in Purnia, said that Prime Minister Modi was concerned over the condition of Makhana farmers in Darbhanga and its surrounding districts.
The decision of the Narendra Modi government to constitute a Makhana Board for promoting the sale of Makhana in India and also abroad was an important step to improve the lot of farmers associated with this sector, he added.
