Tianjin (China)/New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived today in Tianjin, China, where he will attend the SCO Summit and also hold bilateral talks with leaders of member countries, including China and Russia.

This is PM Modi's first visit to China since 2018, and comes following the marked thaw in the bilateral ties.

The PM, who arrived in Tianjin from Japan, posted on X:"Landed in Tianjin, China. Looking forward to deliberations at the SCO Summit and meeting various world leaders."The PM was received at the airport by Chinese Minister for Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng, Tianjin Government Director Yu Yunlin, and Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong.
