Itanagar, Jan. 25 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat', on Sunday praised the youth of Arunachal Pradesh for leading a large-scale cleanliness campaign that has resulted in the removal of over 11 lakh kilograms of garbage from public spaces across the state.
Emphasising the importance of cleanliness, the Prime Minister said that young people across the country are increasingly taking responsibility for their surroundings. Highlighting Arunachal Pradesh, the land where the sun rises first in India, Modi noted that a group of young people in Itanagar initiated a cleanliness drive to clean public spaces that required special attention.
