Mumbai, Jan. 22 -- The Maharashtra government's flagship 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana', aimed at financially empowering women and improving their nutrition, has received a boost with the introduction of physical verification to address e-KYC related issues.

The move comes after thousands of eligible women faced difficulties due to technical glitches and incorrect selections during the digital verification process.

Under the scheme, eligible women between the ages of 21 and 65 years receive rupees 1,500 per month directly into their bank accounts.
