Puducherry, Oct. 4 -- Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi on Friday called upon all sections of the people to contribute their mite to improve the water table in the Union Territory.
Responding to an article appeared in a section of the media here stating that the ground water table in Puducherry is depleting and the people digging borewells deeper and deeper, the Lt.Governor said that all people have to play a role for water harvesting.
Roof top gradient and run off the surface water conservation must be adhered to, She said, adding that all channels and ponds be cleaned up to receive the clean rain water in the ensuing North East Monsoon.
